The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine seeks an energetic and skilled leader to serve as chair of the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics. The successful candidate will be a scientist with demonstrated success in research, education, and administration, who will foster research and academic growth in the Department, and who will advance the excellence of medical and graduate education programs. The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine has more than 1500 dedicated, full-time and community-based volunteer faculty, who educate residents and medical students at affiliated hospitals and clinics, and who educate graduate students in certificate and degree programs. An M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree is required. Demonstrated success in research and participation in academic activities at local, regional, and national levels are required. A track-record of extramural grant support is required as is demonstrated experience collaborating across disciplines and institutions.
