Marjorie S. Sirridge, M.D. Outstanding Women in Medicine Lectureship

The Sirridge Office of Medical Humanities and Bioethics will present the annual Marjorie S. Sirridge, M.D. Outstanding Women in Medicine Lectureship in September 2014. Human Factor Submissions

The Sirridge Office of Medical Humanities and Bioethics and the Medical Humanities    Interest Group are accepting submissions for the Human Factor beginning July 1st,  2014. UMKC Health Science’s students with the best piece of prose, poetry, photography or short story will be published in the 2015 Human Factor. To be considered, students must send a copy of their work to HumanFactor@umkc.edu by September 2nd , 2014.

Healing Arts Contest

The Sirridge Office of Medical Humanities and Bioethics will present the 3rd Annual Healing Arts Contest beginning July 1st, 2014. Prizes will be awarded to UMKC medical students with the best pieces of prose and/or poetry, as well as chance for publication in the Human Factor. To be considered for the award, students must send a copy of their work to Dr. Lynda Payne, Sirridge Missouri Endowed Professor in Medical Humanities and Bioethics by December 1st , 2014.

Roo Boo Dance Marathon for the Children’s Miracle Network Kansas City

The Sirridge Office of Medical Humanities and Bioethics and the Medical Humanities    Interest Group are hosting UMKC’s first Children’s Miracle Network Dance Marathon. The event will take place Saturday, October 25th, from 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM at Swinney Recreation Center. This event includes free dinner, a free t-shirt, contest entries and door prizes.
