Singh-LuvLuv Singh, M.D.
Luv grew up in Palmdale, California. He studied microbiology at University of California–Los Angeles.  He obtained a M.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Barry University in Miami, Florida. He is a graduate of UMKC School of Medicine. Luv is an avid fan of the UCLA Bruins and Los Angeles Lakers.
Jordan-Barker_4037Jordan Barker, M.D.
Jordan was born in Hong Kong and attended the University of Utah for his undergraduate degree as well as his doctor of medicine. He has completed missionary work in Brazil, and enjoys playing classical music on the piano. He enjoys golf and basketball.
ChurchDane Church, M.D.
Dane did his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and recieved his doctor of medicine from Virginia Commonwelath University School of Medicine.  He and his wife Jessica have 2 children and he has a particular interest in travel to South America.
EllsworthH. Scott Ellsworth, M.D.
Scott attended Brigham Young University for his undergraduate degree and obtained his doctor of medicine from the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. Scott and his wife Kim have 2 children. He enjoys outdoor activities, as well as college football.
RangarajanRajesh Rangarajan, M.D.
Raj obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and his doctor of medicine from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Raj enjoys watching and playing most sports especially the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers.

Sarah is from South Dakota. She completed her undergraduate degree at UMKC where she was also a 4-year letter winner in volleyball. She  completed her doctor of medicine degree at the Sanford School of Medicine in South Dakota. Sarah enjoys sports, attending concerts, reading and traveling.

John-KrummeJohn Krumme, M.D.
John attended the Missouri University of Science and Technology for his undergraduate studies and obtained his doctor of medicine degree from the University of Missouri–Columbia.
Joanne-MarasiganJoanne Marasigan, M.D.
Joanne went to the University of Washington for her undergraduate degree and obtained her doctor of medicine degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University.




Sam-BaxterSam Baxter, M.D.
Sam is from Little Rock, Arkansas and completed his biology degree from the University of Arkansas.  He graduated from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences medical school.  Sam enjoy playing music as well as going to Razorback games with his wife in his free time.
HarveyMichael Harvey, M.D.
Michael was born and raised in Chicago. He attended the University of Iowa as an undergraduate, and obtained his medical degree at Chicago Medical School. He enjoys being active outdoors, boating, weightlifting, and spending time with family. He is pretty sure the Cubs will win the World Series this year.
Maddy-LauerMadelyn Lauer, M.D.
Maddy is originally from the Twin Cities and is an avid Minnesota sports fan. She attended Carleton College where she competed as a student-athlete on the volleyball team. During her time at the University of Minnesota Medical School, she was active in several organizations focused on improving patient safety and interprofessional development. She and her husband enjoy traveling as well as exploring all Kansas City has to offer.
Sadie-MarkeySadie Markey, M.D.
Originally from Columbia, MO, Sadie moved to Kansas City to complete medical school at UMKC’s 6 year BA/MD Program.  In her free time she skated for the Kansas City Roller Warriors Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby league and volunteered as ringside physician/aide at local MMA fights.  She loves the outdoors, and enjoys camping, rock climbing, kayaking, biking, and hiking.




BachmanDaniel Bachman, M.D.
Born in Williamstown, KY, Daniel did both his undergraduate work in bioengineering and his medical degree at the University of Louisville.  He has participated in medical missions in Kenya and Egypt.  He spent the last couple of years doing orthopedic research at Mayo Clinic.  He enjoys golf, volleyball, hiking and college athletics.
ChernoffDaniel Chernoff, M.D.
Dan obtained his B.A. in biology and theology from Saint Louis University and his medical degree from the University of Kansas.  During his time in St. Louis, he founded an organization that mentored inner city children after school through teaching them photography.  He likes the outdoors, including golf, basketball, tennis, and running.  He also plays the piano.
EgekezeNkem Egekeze, M.D.
Nkem is a native of Augusta, Georgia and regular patron of the Masters Golf Tournament. He grew up playing soccer in the United States Olympic Development Program in such countries as England and Argentina. Nkem was a Division I Conference Champion soccer player at Mercer University. He later transferred and graduated as a dual Hope Scholar and Presidential Scholar from the University of Georgia. He attended medical school at the University of Michigan where he served as an Executive Board Member of Phi Chi Medical Fraternity. Nkem is the first UMKC Orthopaedic Research Fellow.
MetoxenAlex Metoxen, M.D.
Born in Milwaukee, WI, Alex completed his undergraduate studies in Biology from the University of Notre Dame, where he was also a member of the waterski team with a focus on the trick event.  He graduates from the University of Colorado with his medical degree.  Alex has obtained the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America.  Alex’s hobbies include snowboarding, cooking, piano, home brewing beer and wine and traveling.
NorrellKirsten Norrell, M.D.
Kirsten was born in Norfolk, VA and attended St. Bonaventure University in New York to obtain her B.S. in Biology, as well as being president and captain of the Women’s Rugby Football Club.  She completed her medical degree at George Washington University.  She did a preliminary internship at Penn State. Kirsten’s interests include running, hiking, Zumba, yoga, rowing, travel, cooking and baking, reading, snowboarding.


Daniel Cherian, M.D.
Daniel was born in Houston, TX and attended The University of Texas at Austin to obtain his BBA in Finance/Investment Banking. He worked briefly before becoming a San Antonio Firefighter and EMT for 5 years, including during the first half of medical school.  He completed his medical degree at UT Health San Antonio.  His interests include cryptocurrencies, camping, UT sports (Hook ‘Em), and spending time with his wife, who will be a resident next year.
Patrick Murray, M.D.
Born in the Chicago suburbs, Patrick moved to Rocklin, CA when he was 11 years old. He obtained a degree in Biochemistry from Saint Mary’s College of California. He then went on to medical school at Creighton University in Omaha, NE. He is an avid sports fan, especially the Chicago White Sox, Bears, Blackhawks and the St. Mary’s Gaels. His hobbies include guitar, photography and exploring the outdoors.
Bryan Perkins, M.D.
Bryan was born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minnesota, where he grew up playing soccer and ice hockey. He attended St. Olaf College, where he obtained a B.A. in chemistry and biology. From there, he went on to attain his medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. He has been to Peru on a medical mission trip. He still enjoys playing soccer and ice hockey, and other hobbies include slalom waterskiing, weightlifting, and disc golfing. He and his wife Holly, a family medicine resident at UMKC, look forward to exploring Kansas City
Jake Sneddon, M.D.
Jake Sneddon is originally from Magna, Utah. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Utah with a degree in exercise physiology and received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He enjoys playing softball, snowboarding, camping, hunting, and spending time with his family.
