The UMKC School of Medicine has contracted with Resource Development Institute (RDI) to provide a variety of services related to program funding for activities in education and community health, including community based research and service. RDI is a Kansas City-based program with experience in UMKC procedures and marked success in obtaining such funding from local and national sources.
RDI will assist in identifying grant and gift opportunities, provide frequent reports of grant opportunities to appropriate departments and individuals, meet with potential applicants to determine current areas of interest, identify needs and strategies for preparing applications, identify and coordinate with possible collaborative partners, assist in writing applications, provide all necessary administrative support for obtaining forms and ensuring correct format and content of applications, and finalizing applications for submission (including necessary electronic and hard copy preparation).
For guidance on services and referral to RDI, contact Kim Slaughter (816-235-1898, lavinek@umkc.edu) in the Office of Research Administration.
Additional information on RDI may be found on their website at www.rdikc.org.
