About us

The mission of the Friends of the School of Medicine is to further the interests of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, its students, faculty, administration, alumni and members by:

• Cooperating with and providing assistance to the administration, faculty and students of UMKC School of Medicine when called upon.
• Supporting the school and the students financially through fundraising activities and through services as may be deemed necessary.
• Cultivating social relations among members of the organization, administration, faculty, alumni, students and parents of students of the UMKC School of Medicine.
• Cooperating with the UMKC School of Medicine Alumni Association and other alumni and constituent organizations as appropriate.

Membership shall be open to all parents or guardians, alumni or other individuals interested in furthering the mission of the organization. Membership shall be open to all without regard to race, color, national origin, age or disability.  Click here for more information about becoming a member.
