Bioinformatics faculty candidate to speak at SOM on May 23

Dimitris Vovoras, a Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Florida Department of Mathematics and Statistics and candidate for a faculty position in the UMKC School of Medicine Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics, will make a presentation at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 23, in Theater B.

The presentation, “Statistical Analysis and Modelling: Clinical Trials, Epidemiology and Cancer,” is open to all faculty, students and staff. Vovoras’ lecture will focus on the epidemiology of primary brain tumors found in the United States broken down by age groups, sexes, and races and the descriptive and analytical methods used on available data to characterize incident rates.
