Students members of the Blue 8 Docent Unit put their creativity to work to carve out a winner in the School of Medicine’s 2012 pumpkin carving contest.

The unit’s entry, Pumpkinotomoy, captured the most first-place votes among School of Medicine staff and earned the $75 first prize from the School’s Color Officers and MSAC. A single vote was all that separated Pumpkinotomoy from the Blue 6 Unit’s Fall Pharm Pumpkin Massacre, which received the $55 second prize.

The Green 4 Unit earned the $40 third prize for its pumpkin, RIP TMC McDonalds.

The rest of this year’s entries included: P3 WARTS (Purple 3 Unit), Mid “Skull” Aggital Transection (Green 1 Unit), If I only had a Heart (Green 7 Unit), “Oh My Gourd! I’m Crowning” The Miracle of Life (Blue 5 Unit), Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street (Green 8 Unit), Honey Blue Blue (Blue 2 Unit), and Look What Happens After You Eat Cookie Monster Cookies (Gold 5 Unit).
