PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION CAREFULLY. SUBMISSION OF A REGISTRATION FORM INDICATES THAT YOU HAVE READ AND AGREE WITH THIS INFORMATION.

REGISTRATION
Registration in the EMT program is on a first-come, first-served basis, and seats are reserved upon receipt of the registration fee. If the class is full, registrations will be added to a waiting list, and open seats will be filled from the waiting list up to the third-class session. If the class is canceled prior to the first meeting or the student is not offered a seat in the class, the registration fee will be refunded. Information letters are e-mailed 2-3 weeks before the first-class meeting. Be sure to check your spam or junk mail folders for this information letter.

COMPUTER ACCESS REQUIRED
Some of the EMT program homework and testing in is online. All students in the program must have access to a computer and the Internet. Internet access with a smartphone IS NOT recommended.

CRIMINAL HISTORY
Upon application to the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) and the State of Missouri Bureau of EMS (BEMS), the EMT program participant will be questioned regarding criminal history. Furthermore, all students will be required to provide a criminal background check prior to attending clinical rotations. A criminal history or affirmative response to questions will not necessarily disqualify the student; however, the NREMT and BEMS will determine if the applicant may receive certification or licensure after completion of the program. The EMS Education program cannot advise the participant as to the effect of an affirmative response to these questions on his or her ability to participate in national certification examinations or state licensure. An affirmative response may also affect the student’s ability to participate in clinical or field activities.
