Meet Sean Gratton
Biography
Dr. Gratton is Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. He is a neuro-ophthalmology staff physician with the Sabates Eye Clinics and has a joint appointment in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. Dr. Gratton is the Associate Director of Medical Education in the Department of Neurology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.
Dr. Gratton attended medical school at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and graduated in 2009. He continued at Georgetown University School of Medicine where he completed his internal medicine internship and neurology residency. He was named Chief Administrative Resident covering Georgetown University Hospital, Washington Hospital Center, the Children’s National Medical Center, and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Following residency he completed his neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute at the University of Miami.
Dr. Gratton holds professional membership in the American Academy of Neurology. His major area of clinical and research focuses in neuro-ophthalmology. He has published in this area of interest, and made numerous presentations at national and international conferences. Other areas of expertise include botulinum toxin proficiency for blepharospasm, hemifacial spasm, and chronic migraine.
