Biography
Jennifer Martin, Hall Family Foundation Professor of Theatre, Emerita, and James C. Olson Professor holds a PhD from the University of Michigan and an MFA from the University of North Carolina – Greensboro. For over four decades her work as a theatre movement specialist and choreographer has been seen on many Kansas City stages as well as in Regional Theatres across the country.
From the beginning of the Sirridge Office of Medical Humanities and Bioethics, Dr. Martin has coordinated and taught courses, advised Medical Humanities projects and served as a member of the Advisory Board. As a non-verbal communication specialist, she’s trained Medical, Nursing, Dental and Pharmacy students in professional interaction as well as “Improving Patient Perception of Health Care Delivery” for working health care professionals.
