Meet David Walker
Biography

David joined the UMKC PA Program in the fall of 2021 as a faculty intern before transitioning to a full-time position in 2022. David attended the Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP) in 2010 while serving in the Army. He graduated IPAP and received his master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2012. David is a retired Army officer having served 21 years on active duty before joining the program. Early in his military career, David served as a military intelligence technician and instructor before attending PA school. Thereafter, he deployed as an aeromedical physician assistant to both Iraq and Afghanistan. His areas of interest include sports medicine and musculoskeletal injuries.

David is a KCK native born and raised in Wyandotte County. He enjoys spending time with his wife Isabel and their two children, DJ and Gabrielle.
