Biography

Lance started practicing as an Anesthesiologist Assistant at Liberty Hospital in 2007.  Later that year he joined the UMKC School of Medicine as assistant program director for the Masters of Science in Anesthesia program.  In addition to his continuation of anesthesia practice, Lance serves on the National Certifying Commission for Anesthesiologist Assistants (NCCAA) test writing committee and works with the National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) to write and revise questions for the national AA certifying examination.  He has created a series of popular anesthesia procedure videos and was published as a video contributor to the popular emergency medicine procedural book, Roberts and Hedges’ Clinical Procedures in Emergency Medicine, 6th Edition.  In addition to clinical and didactic instruction, Lance serves as chair of the MSA curriculum committee and was instrumental in creating a certifying examination preparation course for students in their clinical phase.
