Meet Charles Donohoe
Biography

Dr. Donohoe is Associate Professor and Chair in the Department of Neurology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.  He was born in New York City, attended medical school at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York graduating in 1972.  He completed his internal medicine internship at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and neurology residency at the Mount Sinai Hospital School of Medicine in New York City. He has practiced clinical neurology in Kansas City since 1977.

Dr. Donohoe is board certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, in Neurorehabilitation by the American Society of Neurorehabilitation, and in Neuroimaging by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties. He holds professional memberships in the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Clinical Neurophysiology and the American Society of Neuroimaging.

Dr. Donohoe’s interests include multiple sclerosis, neurorehabilitation, magnetic resonance imaging/ultrasound, pain management, and telemedicine.  He has published numerous journal articles, book chapters and given many oral presentations at medical conferences.He is an associate clinical professor of medical education at the UMKC School of Medicine and has been an active member of the board of the Sirridge Office of Medical Humanities since its inception.
