Meet Dan Hladky

Dan has 40 years of experience in teaching clinical anesthesia to AA students and anesthesia residents. He joined the UMKC MSA staff in 2010 as a guest faculty and as full time faculty in 2012. He previously was faculty at CWRU in Cleveland for 25 years. His primary role in the program is as the lead professor in the UMKC Simulation and Clinical Skills Lab as well as teaching Anesthesia and Co-existing Disease I & II. Dan is a member of the American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants (AAAA) and has served on the board of directors. He currently is on the board of the Missouri Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants (MAAA).  He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologist’s. Dan has a special interest in regional anesthesia having completed 2 years of regional anesthesia training at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle. He has co-authored several papers on pediatric regional anesthesia. Dan’s daughter, Mary, is also an AA and Adjunct Assistant Professor at UMKC.
