Meet Inderjeet Kaur
Biography

Dr. Inderjeet Kaur was raised in India and is a graduate of Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research.

Upon moving to the United States, she became involved in volunteer research projects at the University of California-Davis MIND Institute.

Prior to joining the UMKC residency program, Dr. Kaur worked part time as a psychiatry technician studying the mental health system in the United States.

Upon completion of her post graduate training in adult psychiatry at UMKC, Dr. Kaur accepted a faculty appointment at the school as assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Truman Medical Center. Her current work includes educating medical residents and students, working in an outpatient setting for TMC and serving as the director of medical student psychiatry clerkships.

In addition to education, Dr. Kaur’s current work encompasses management of patients with different mental health and dual diagnoses. Her areas of interest include mood disorders and treatment-resistant depression. She is a Board Certified physician, and is trained in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
