Biography
I am originally from the Minneapolis area and completed both of my undergraduate (BS in Biology) and medical degree (MD) at the University of Minnesota (2009). During my time in school I worked as both a Pharmacy Technician and Nursing Assistant at the Children’s Hospital of Minneapolis. I was also able to contribute to current research and treatment for Toxic Shock Syndrome and Bacterial Endocarditis while working for the University of Minnesota Microbiology and Cell Biology Departments as a Graduate Research Assistant.I completed my training at UMKC/Truman Medical Centers in 2012 and am currently working full time at the Truman Medical Centers Lakewood campus. I have also been able to continue my interest in International Medicine over this past year and have recently become the Medical Director of Medical Ministry International Amazon Division which covers the Western portion of the Amazon and is based out of Leticia, Colombia. I have been able to travel on medical teams to Belize, Honduras, Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, Uganda, and Ethiopia. My wife and I have also had the pleasure of adopting our three sons internationally, two from Colombia and one from Ethiopia.
