Biography
Jennifer joined the UMKC staff in 2009 as an Administrative Assistant for academic programs at the Dental School. In 2010, she moved to the School of Medicine to help build faculty and student supports for the new Master of Science in Bioinformatics (MSB) degree program and the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Research (GCCR), which has since graduated more than 50 students. As an academic advisor, Jennifer coordinates department logistics to ensure successful student progression from admission to graduation. She leads communication for the department, and helps implement academic policies for the MSB, GCCR, and IPhD Primary and Co-Disciplines in Biomedical and Health Informatics.
Jennifer is pursuing a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of Missouri – Kansas City focusing on Urban Planning and Public History. She considers community narratives, and asks questions about how public policies have shaped those stories. She is a graduate candidate for May 2018.
