With some help from COVID-19 vaccines and the Kansas City Royals, the School of Medicine and the rest of UMKC were able to hold in-person graduation ceremonies for 2021 and 2020 graduates. The health sciences schools ceremony included remarks from Mario Castro (above), M.D. ’88, the winner of this year's Take Wing Award.
