4th Annual Vijay Babu Rayudu Quality & Patient Safety Day
Call for Abstracts for Student, Resident, and Fellow Presentations

The 4th Annual Vijay Babu Rayudu Quality and Patient Safety Day event will be held Friday, May 12, 2017 from Noon to 5:00 p.m. in Theater C and the UMKC School of Medicine lobby.

Our keynote speaker this year is Niraj Sehgal, MD, MPH, the Vice President & Chief Quality Officer for UCSF Health and Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine. His academic interests focus on improving healthcare systems by leading initiatives that foster teamwork & communication, promoting a culture for learning and improvement, and supporting workforce development as key strategies to deliver better patient outcomes.

Residents, fellows and students in the School of Medicine are invited to submit abstracts of quality improvement and patient safety projects for presentation. Abstracts will be judged by a faculty committee with the winning abstracts selected for oral presentation and the remainder for poster presentation. Abstracts selected for oral presentation will also receive travel awards to support presentation at a regional or national meeting on quality and safety. Clinical vignettes will be accepted for poster presentation on a space available basis, and are encouraged to include discussion on application to improved quality of care and outcomes

To submit an abstract, please visit: https://redcap.umkc.edu/surveys/?s=PRYKHK4NXP to complete the Registration Form and submit the Abstract. Once you submit your registration, you will receive the poster template, guidelines and criteria for your poster or PowerPoint presentation.
