School of Medicine faculty are invited to apply for the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society’s 2013 Edward D. Harris Professionalism Award, a grant of up to $25,000 to create a learning environment or design a project to ingrain professionalism in medical students and residents.
The award is for medical school faculty of all ranks that have demonstrated a personal interest in teaching or research in the aspects of professionalism. Proposals for projects that relate to professionalism remediation with evaluation of outcomes will be given priority consideration.
Complete applications are due May 15 and awardees will be notified in mid-June. A complete report of a project’s implementation and results must be delivered to the AOA national office within 20 months after initiation of the funding.
