►New Financial Wellness Club
There’s a new club launching this month at the School of Medicine! Financially Healthy Physicians aims at addressing personal finance topics relevant to physicians. The club exists to help educate students on the financial aspects of medicine and how to navigate through various financial topics. Expect a variety of personal finance topics relevant to you while you’re still in school but also several post-graduation topics to help you plan for the future.
Their first meeting is Tuesday, February 22nd at 6 pm in Theater B. Please visit their page on RooGroups to join their club and ask any questions.

►Scholarship Applications
The 2022-2023 UMKC Scholarship application deadline is fast approaching. Apply by March 1 to be considered for UMKC competitive scholarships and a number of SOM scholarships for Medical, AA, and PA students.

►Head’s Up, Seniors!
You’ve all received an email from the Financial Wellness Department that includes important financial to-dos and resources before you graduate. Plus, nominate yourself or a fellow graduating senior for a Senior Award. If you have questions about transitioning financially from Med School to your career you’re welcome to schedule a meeting with your Financial Wellness Counselor to discuss.
