Women Physicians in Academic Medicine Leadership symposium

March 6, 2024, 12:30 – 5:20 pm
UMKC School of Medicine, Theater B

Historically,  women have had fewer higher-level leadership roles in academic medicine.
UMKC-SOM is proud to have a significant number of women leaders, exceeding national averages, and desire to continue to support the professional development of women physicians.

Come join us for an afternoon of learning, networking, fun and lunch!

  • Better understand your career trajectory and how to navigate barriers to success.
  • Formulate a plan to negotiate a faculty position that aligns with your goals.
  • Understand imposter syndrome, compassion fatigue, and strategies to overcome them.
  • Identify stressors and learn to prioritize self-care needs to prevent burnout and continue to find meaning in medicine.
