Green 8 wins pumpkin carving contest

Happily Ever After, created by students from the Green 8 unit, earned the nod from School of Medicine faculty and staff as the winner of the 2011 Pumpkin Carving Contest.

Cinderella’s carriage was a hit with the School of Medicine faculty and staff, winning the top prize in the 2011 Pumpkin Carving Contest sponsored by MSAC and the Color Officers. The winner — Happily Ever After — was the creation of students on the Green 8 docent unit.

Second prize went to the Green 7 unit’s Medical “At tension” and third prize went to Dr. Kanga Broomsticks, carved by students on the Red 4 unit.

In a seperate voting of students, Green 7’s Medical “At tension” received bragging rights as the top vote-getter.

Entries also included Blue 1’s Angry Pumpkins, Green 1’s Halloween is too mainstrea “Hipster Pumpkin,” and Blue 6’s Phineas Gage -O-Lantern.
