
Kit Wagar, a health reform specialist with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will speak on the Affordable Care Act at noon on Nov. 5 at the School of Medicine.
Wagar serves as an outreach specialist for the DHHS Midwest region. He specializes in explaining the Affordable Care Act and the department’s role in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa and Nebraska. His talk is titled, “Care That’s Better, More Accessible, and Lower Cost.”
Prior to joining the DHHS, Wagar was principal assistant to the director of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. He also spent 29 years as a newspaper reporter, including 10 years as a Missouri statehouse correspondent.
