As part of the plan for accommodating campus parking during the 2011/2012 Academic Year, the card access and gate system at the Hospital Hill Parking Structure will be tested Aug. 9 and 10 and Parking Operations will have Parking Service Officers at the main entrance on 24th terrace to assist with any problems that may occur.
During this test period the Campbell Street entrance will be closed to traffic. Vehicles will still be able to use the Campbell Street exit and 24th Street exit.
To obtain access to the structure you must have a current UMKC parking permit and a University ID card that has your 16 digit account number printed on the bottom of the card. If your University ID card does not currently allow you to access the stairwells, it will also not allow you to access the gate arms.
Access to the structure is not immediate after purchasing a permit or obtaining a University ID card due to data entry restrictions. Depending on the time of year, access to the structure may take up to a week to process. Until your card has been activated please use either the student or faculty/staff surface lot designated by the type of permit displayed on your vehicle.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact Parking Operations at 235-5256.
