
Richard Lustig, D.O., assistant professor of medicine and Purple 1 docent, and to Amy Patel, MS 6, are this year’s faculty and student recipients of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Awards.
The Humanism in Medicine Awards, sponsored by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation, are given annually to a faculty member and a graduating student who demonstrate the ideals of outstanding compassion in patient care, respect for patients, their families and colleagues as well as demonstrated clinical excellence.

The awards were presented Saturday, March 12, during the Gold Humanism Honor Society induction ceremony at Diastole.
