University Health Truman Medical Center is an urban, academic medical center located on the same campus as the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) health sciences schools of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Dentistry. UH TMC provides a broad array of acute and outpatient clinical services to a diverse patient population. It provides primary care and consultative services to 110,000 unique individuals across the lifespan. It is a 237-bed, Level I trauma center known for programs in asthma, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, high risk obstetrics, ophthalmology, and women’s health. TMC has been recognized five years in a row by Hospitals & Health Networks magazine as one of Health Care’s “Most Wired” organizations. UH TMC is the primary clinical training site for the UMKC School of Medicine medical students, and hosts clinical training for the UMKC’s 35 residency and fellowship programs.
University Health Lakewood Medical Center is located in Lee’s Summit, MO, and provides a comprehensive range of primary, preventive, specialty, geriatric, and women’s health services.
