Lunch and Learn Session to present how to engage community partners in research

School of Medicine faculty are invited to attend a Faculty Lunch and Learn Session sponsored by the Heartland Health Network, an alliance of community partners working together to address health disparities, at noon on Oct. 4 in Theater B.

The session is part of a series designed to assist health researchers in the metropolitan area explore how their programs might be enhanced by a community-engaged approach.

The program will offer successful strategies for securing funding for community-engaged translational research, successes and challenges found from including community organizations in multi-disciplinary teams, and the skills necessary to engage community organizations.
