School of Medicine faculty members Nelson Sabates, M.D., chair of ophthalmology and director of the UMKC Vision Research Center, and Anne Foundas, M.D., chair of the School’s new Department of Neurology and Cognitive Neuroscience, will serve as guest speakers of a Missouri Cures Education Foundation Speakers Series event at 8 a.m. on Oct. 2 in the School of Medicine’s Theater A.
The hour-long program on “Accelerating Cures in Our Community” is joint-sponsored by the Missouri Cures Education Foundation, the School of Medicine and the Kansas City Area Life Sciences Institute, Inc.
A continental breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. Dean Betty Drees, M.D., F.A.C.P., will give the welcome and introductions.
