Application Timeline


Please note: All supporting documents must also be sent by the designated application date (this includes transcripts, test scores, goal statement, resume/CV, and letters of recommendation). Applications that are completed late will be reviewed on a space-available basis (may be deferred to the following semester) and incomplete applications will not be considered for admission.

Fall Semester Admission:

June 1: Application Deadline – International residents without an active visa

For international applicants without an active visa, the UMKC General Application for Admission is due by this date.

August 1: Application Deadline – U.S. citizens/permanent residents and active visa holders

For domestic applicants and active visa holders, the UMKC General Application for Admission is due by this date.

Ongoing: Offers of Admission are Extended

Applicants offered admission will be emailed the admissions decision. All decisions of the admissions committee are final.

August: Classes Begin

Admitted students for the Fall semester will matriculate to the School of Medicine Master of Science in Bioinformatics program in August.

Spring Semester Admission:

October 1: Application Deadline – International residents without an active visa
