Dr. Ali Mahmood

Ali Mahmood, M.D.

Undergraduate: The University of Kansas
Medical School: The University of Kansas – School of Medicine
Hometown: Overland Park, KS and Antwerp, Belgium
Career Interests: I have always wanted to build longitudinal relationships with patients and become involved in their overall wellbeing. With this in mind, I have come to really appreciate movement disorders. Observing phenomenology and subsequent localization are rewarding cerebral exercises and lend itself heavily to academic involvement. Additionally, with new treatment options on the horizon, the field is moving rapidly in the right direction. I also find great satisfaction in teaching and am invested in passing on knowledge to up-and-coming physicians, and thus would like to be involved in medical education down the road.
Hobbies/Interests: I am an avid soccer fan, my favorite team being Arsenal (COYG!). I work out several times weekly. I immensely enjoy card and board games, my current favorite board game being Root. Traveling to new places and trying out new cuisines is a priority of mine during time off/vacation.
