Medical School: Saba University School of Medicine, Saba, Dutch Caribbean (M.S., MD)
Hometown: I was born in Iran and moved to Kansas one year after high school, Kansas has been my hometown since
Career Interests: Everything about our nervous system is fascinating to me and there is always so much to learn and discover about it. What I find most interesting is how our nervous system, in combination with genetics and environment, makes us who we are and how we live. To me, our brain is a box of colored pencils filling up and adding lines and shades to the colorless and shapeless picture we were born with. These lines and colors design a connection in all parts of our bodies and create meaning, purpose, and soul for every organ and the human owning those organs. Yet, a simple change can affect the person operating a body of flesh, as if he/she was never in there. That being said, I am very much interested in neurodegenerative diseases of the nervous system and behavioral neurology. I do not like to limit my options too soon, however, currently, I am considering working in an academic setting that focuses on both patient care, teaching, and research.
Hobbies/Interests: Driving alone, dancing, cooking, family & friends time with active games, playing pranks on my little sister or anyone I feel close to, Sunday afternoon naps, music, audiobooks, hiking alone or with good company, drawing or DIY gifts for people I care about, reflecting on good and bad experiences, meaningful conversations and discussions.

Geoffrey Lobban, M.D.

Undergraduate: Biomedical Engineering, University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada
Medical School: Saba University School of Medicine
Hometown: Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
Career Interests: My ideal work-week would likely be split between clinic and stroke call for some consistent long-term patient care, along with more sudden and critical illness management. I would love to ideally find a way to apply what I have learned in my undergraduate in engineering somehow in the field of Neurology, with maybe Control theory in the field of epilepsy or movement disorders to help describe system stability with diagnostic modalities like EEG. I am open to most ideas in the field of Neurology broadly speaking and haven’t come across a facet I do not enjoy. It is, after all, the most ‘innervating’ field of medicine
Hobby/Interests: Running, Hiking, Weightlifting, Soccer, Swimming, Miniature painting, Gaming
