Obstetrics & Gynecology

Application Information

The Obstetrics and Gynecology program of the University of Missouri-Kansas City participates in the NRMP and only accepts applicants who apply through Electronic Residency Application Service. Applications/resumes e-mailed directly to the program will not be reviewed.  UMKC does not support H1B visas but will consider J1 visa status.

The application deadline in ERAS is October 1st 2023.  Invitations for interviews will be sent on October 24th, 2023 or after in alignment with the APGO and CREOG recommended standards.  Interviews will be held in November and December this cycle.

The UMKC OB-GYN Residency program is committed to recruiting and training a diverse group of Women’s Health professionals. We embrace diversity in all its forms, including race, ethnicity, disability, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.  See our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion tab under Residency for our commitment.

We encourage applicants with a local connection to consider including information in your personal statement.  We know residents excel when they are supported by family and friends.

While the program does not require a minimum USMLE/COMLEX requirement for consideration, we do prefer applicants who have passed their exams on the first attempt. For Osteopathic students, USMLE is not required but strongly encouraged.
