Truman Medical Center and Saint Luke’s Hospital are committed to providing undergraduate medical education experience through the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Residents, fellows and faculty serve as preceptors for students during their 4-week sub-internship rotations. We offer electives in:
High Risk Obstetrics (Maternal-Fetal Medicine)
- Urogynecology
For more details on the electives offered, see the elective catalog for the current academic year (22-23) on VSLO. Applications will only be accepted through VSLO.
Please note our sub-internship opportunities enhance but may not guarantee an interview with the UMKC OBGYN residency. We do highly suggest completing your sub-internship with us prior to the residency interview season.
Saint Luke’s Hospital Electives: Saint Luke’s Hospital only accepts students from UMKC, Kansas City University-Medicine (KCU) and International students from SABA University School of Medicine. KCU students should work with their home school electives coordinator to schedule elective rotations.
