Our fully accredited Obstetrics and Gynecology training program is designed to prepare specialists who are excellent surgeons and obstetrician/gynecologist primary care providers for women. The residency program offers progressive training in obstetrics and gynecology. Our average graduate numbers are a great example of how well prepared our trainees are when they complete residency.
Our Mission:
To provide our trainees with a solid and well-balanced training experience through exposure to a large high-risk, high-acuity patient population, a stimulating learning environment and supportive faculty and fellow residents.

Residents receive confidential evaluations at the end of each rotation and meet formally with the Program director semiannually. Residents have the opportunity to provide anonymous evaluations of faculty and to provide feedback to the program.
Exams:
The OBGYN residency expects participation in the yearly in-service exam (CREOG) given nationally in January. UMKC covers the cost of this exam. Results are used to gage individual medical knowledge and to better focus the educational programs of the residency.
