Completed ERAS applications are accepted between September 1 – October 31.
Interviews are held in November, after the selection committee has chosen a list of candidates to invite.
NRMP is strictly adhered to with no pre-MATCH appointments. In the event that we do NOT match, we immediately go into SOAP, followed by Find-A-Resident if necessary.
The official policy of the UMKC SOM GME Office is that all residents will pass their USMLE Step 3 by the end of their PGY-2 residency in order to be promoted to PGY-3. However, the expectation in the Dept of Pathology is that all residents will pass their USMLE Step 3 by the end of their PGY-1 residency in order to be promoted to PGY-2. Our departmental policy will be implemented for all ERAS2012 applicants and the years thereafter.
Requirements
(1) Full-page personal statement as to why you want to enter the field of Pathology
(2) Three letters of recommendation from faculty members
(3 )USMLE scores with a minimum score of 190
(4) Graduation from an accredited medical college within the past five years preferred.
(5)Application only via ERAS + registration with NRMP for MATCH.
