We feel that it is important to celebrate the successes of faculty at the UMKC School of Medicine.  Annually, there is a Promotion and Faculty Award Celebration that occurs in the fall of the academic year.  At that time faculty that promoted at each of the school’s affiliates are acknowledged.  Additionally, faculty that received SOM Faculty Awards for excellence are acknowledged.

An announcement that the Faculty Awards Review Committee (FARC) is seeking nominations for UMKC SOM faculty awards is typically sent out at the end of the academic year with a specific deadline.  Each award has specific requirements and necessary materials that need to be submitted for consideration.  Each award can be found in the Tab “Celebrate” on the Office of Professional Development webpage.  If you would like to be considered to be a member of the Faculty Awards Review Committee, please notify Dr. Sullivan at Sullivanchr@umkc.edu.

The FARC also seeks nominations for university-based awards annually.  Announcements regarding criteria, materials, and deadlines will be sent out on the Faculty listserv.
