Four UMKC School of Medicine radiology residents and one student recently earned awards for their scholarly activities and poster presentations.
Suchit Patel, M.D, ’09, received the RNSA Roentgen Resident Research Award given to a radiology resident who demonstrates outstanding work. Patel was recently inducted into the AOA medical honor society and has authored or co-authored 17 posters that have been presented at national meetings where he has earned five awards.
Megan Saettele, M.D., and Andrew Spender, MS 5, received certificates of merit for their poster presentations at the recent International Society for Pediatric Radiology Meeting in London. The organization is the largest pediatric radiology society in the world.
Chris Keup, M.D., received an outstanding poster award at the Society of Interventional Radiology meeting in Chicago. The society is the largest interventional radiological society in the world and awarded prizes to fewer than 5 percent of the posters that were presented.
Neal Desai, M.D., ’11, received a certificate of merit for his poster presentation at the Radiological Society of North America Meeting.
