Health Sciences Student Research Summit

Please Note: After significant discussions at the University about current serious health events, the 2020 Health Sciences Student Research Summit has been cancelled. We are truly sorry that the HSSRS event will not occur this year and appreciate your understanding of this unfortunate circumstance.

Health Sciences Student Research Summit The UMKC Health Sciences Research Summit enables members of the UMKC health sciences community to display poster presentations in a forum that:

  • Highlights the health sciences research being conducted in the UMKC Schools of Biological Sciences, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy, Computing and Engineering;
  • Fosters research collaborations across disciplines and schools that will produce economic, health, education and quality-of-life benefits for the greater Kansas City community.

SOM Judging of Student Posters/Presentations
Students will be assigned a poster location and receive a name badge (for the primary presenter) at check-in.

Students’ poster presentations are typically evaluated two times during the event by faculty judges. In past events, over 100 student have participated. The size of the event does not allow the exact time to be determined of when judges will review poster presentations.
