Three from SOM take part in mid-year commencement ceremony

Three students, Sasha Hamdani, Justin Labart, and Brett Sullivan, graduated from the School of Medicine and participated in the UMKC mid-year commencement ceremony on Dec. 16 at Swinney Recreation Center.

Labart and Sullivan are also graduates of UMKC’s oral surgery program.

Two students, Wesley Glick, and Kavisha Shah,  graduated in December but will take part in the spring graduation ceremony. Aparna Pendurthi also graduated in December, but participated in the May 2011 graduation ceremony.

The combined mid-year ceremony honored graduates from the Conservatory of Music and Dance, Henry W. Bloch School of Management, School of Biological Sciences, School of Computing and Engineering, School of Education, School of Law, School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and the School of Graduate Studies.

The School of Medicine’s spring graduation ceremony is scheduled for 3 p.m. on May 24, 2012, at the Kansas City Music Hall.
