How to Apply

Completed ERAS applications are accepted between September 1 – October 31.
Interviews are held in November, after the selection committee has chosen a list of candidates to invite.

NRMP is strictly adhered to with no pre-MATCH appointments.  In the event that we do NOT match, we immediately go into SOAP, followed by Find-A-Resident if necessary.

The official policy of the UMKC SOM GME Office is that all residents will pass their USMLE Step 3 by the end of their PGY-2 residency in order to be promoted to PGY-3. However, the expectation in the Dept of Pathology is that all residents will pass their USMLE Step 3 by the end of their PGY-1 residency in order to be promoted to PGY-2. Our departmental policy will be implemented for all ERAS2012 applicants and the years thereafter.
