Welcome to the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine – an innovative institution where patient-driven education and cutting-edge research work to advance health care within our community, throughout Missouri and across the country.

Our School of Medicine stands as an exceptional option for those looking to enter this remarkable field. Among our offerings:

  • Our renowned docent system of education, where the same team-based peer and physician mentors support students as they advance through their years at the school.
  • An accelerated, B.A./M.D. program, where students go from high school to graduating medical school in six years. Students may also apply to our traditional, four-year M.D. program, completed after earning a baccalaureate degree.
  • Medical-related, professional graduate degrees, including master programs in physician assistant and anesthesiology assistant, as well as bioinformatics and health professions. An Interdisciplinary PhD Program is also offered, as well as several graduate certificate programs.

As our nation’s health care profession evolves, so does the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. We are committed to new technologies and innovations that will help better prepare today’s and tomorrow’s health professionals.

I encourage you to explore the many opportunities available within our medical education programs.
