Kayla Briggs Groves, M.D.

Hometown: Liberty, MO Undergraduate School: UMKC Medical School: UMKC Medicine Surgery Interest: Surgical Critical Care, ACS Hobbies: Running, cooking, baking, trying new restaurants, traveling, spending time with my husband, family (including our golden doodle and cat), and friends Reason you came to UMKC: UMKC has always been home. We have an incredible mix of trauma, elective general surgery, subspecialty services, practice environments, and a robotics curriculum that is second to none. Our attending’s and culture value residents as humans first, encouraging everyone to invest in their interests both inside and outside of the hospital.

I could easily see myself being part of this community. There were also a wide variety of cases and exposure to different patient populations.
