Psychiatry Residency

Our residency program empowers trainees to develop their professional identities and gain the skills needed for independent practice. Through mentorship, self-directed learning and hands-on experience, residents explore the complexities of mental illness, refine their strengths and grow as confident clinicians. Our program offers specialized tracks in health professions education, clinical research and psychotherapy, and our supportive environment fosters personal growth and expert care delivery.

Medical education

In addition to our residency program, the Department of Psychiatry provides training for students in the School of Medicine's M.D. program through required courses and a clerkship. We also offer a wide variety of senior electives, an internship program and other learning opportunities for students interested in our field. Explore our programs.
