Biography
Dr. Elliott obtained her B.A. /M.D. at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Kansas City, Missouri (6 year combined degree program). During her residency she was Chief resident, Department of Anesthesiology, Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts (1999-2000). She completed her Anesthesiology residency at Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center/Harvard University School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts (1997-2000).
Her fellowship in Pain Management was at Beth Israel Deaconness Medical Center/ Harvard University School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts (9/00-8/01). She was recipient of the Carol A. Warfield Prize in Pain Management for excellence in clinical care in pain medicine.
Honors and Awards include: Selected for inclusion in KC Magazine’s Kansas City “Superdoctors” 2013; Named one of America’s Top Anesthesiologists by the Consumers’ Research Council of America 2009; Selected for inclusion in KC Magazine’s Kansas City “Superdoctors” 2009; Selected for inclusion in KC Magazine’s Kansas City “Superdoctors” 2008; Recipient of the St. Louis Friends of UMKC School of Medicine Basic Science Award (1996); Recipient of the Richardson K. Noback Award for Clinical Excellence (1996); Recipient of the Pharmacia and Upjohn Award for Excellence in Medical Education (1996); Recipient of the McGraw Book Award in 1993 (given annually to two outstanding year 4 students at UMKC School of Medicine); Recipient of the UMKC/ Truman Medical Center Department of Pathology Achievement Award (1993).
