Biography

Tamara McMahon is the Managing Director for the UMKC Center for Health Insights, where she leads biomedical research and analytics initiatives. She is a founding member of the Greater Plains Collaborative, a PCORI funded Clinical Data Network consisting of 14 institutions, and she continues to provide strategic leadership for this initiative. With prior roles at Duke University Clinical Research Institute, Kansas University Medical Center, and Los Alamos National Laboratory her expertise spans biomedical informatics, data management, and clinical research. She joined the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics in 2021 and teaches courses focused on population health, data science, and informatics.
