Biography

 Dr. Aguayo is a physician serving at UHPC Lakewood Pavilion, UH Maternal Care, Colposcopy clinic and as a Laborist for UHLMC Birthplace. Dr. Aguayo also serves on the Fetal and Infant Mortality Review Board, Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Aguayo has a professional working proficiency in English and Spanish.

Dr. Aguayo feels strongly that healthy families are built at home; and every family deserves a primary care physician invested in supporting their health goals. With these principles in mind, she is able to provide whole family care at the Lakewood Medical Pavilion including labor and delivery.

Dr. Aguayo’s interests include family-preservation, helping families end the foster care cycle, and helping families afflicted by substance use disorders achieve stability for themselves and their children. Outside of the office she engages in local efforts to reduce health disparities and promote health equity.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Aguayo enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband enjoy dancing, traveling, playing soccer and watching their beautiful and active children grow and explore the world. A former gymnastics coach, she enjoys learning about the art of mentoring and coaching and applying this to the support of others on their journey no matter the destination in mind.
