Biography
In August 2025, Dr. Daniel G. Chilcote joined University Health Lakewood Medical Center as a Primary Care and Sports Medicine physician. He serves as faculty for the UMKC Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship, where he leads didactic education and mentors fellows. Additionally, Dr. Chilcote serves as a team physician for UMKC athletics, providing sideline and clinical coverage for student-athletes.
Dr. Chilcote is a board-certified family medicine physician with fellowship training in sports medicine. He provides non-operative care for musculoskeletal conditions across all ages, including concussion management, fractures, sprains, and strains. An osteopathic physician, he integrates Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) into his practice. His clinical interests include musculoskeletal ultrasound for diagnosis and ultrasound-guided injections for targeted treatment.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Chilcote, enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, Hazel. His hobbies include golfing, hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping—activities that reflect his love for the outdoors and active lifestyle.
