Biography
In 2023, Dr. Decker joined University Health as part of the Family Medicine Inpatient Service team. In 2024, Dr. Decker was appointed as Section Chief for Inpatient Medicine. He is also the Medical Director of the eICU at University Health Lakewood Medical Center. Dr. Decker is a UMKC Family Medicine Residency Core Faculty member. Dr. Decker serves on the UH Code Blue Committee, UH Critical Care Committee, UH Hospital Throughput Committee and the Department of Community & Family Medicine Scholarship, Research and Grants Committee.
Dr. Decker professional interests include hospital medicine, medical education, procedures, and point-of-care ultrasound.
In his free time, Dr. Decker enjoys rediscovering Kansas City alongside his wife and their daughters. He is always open to trying a new craft brewery or taking in a Chiefs, Royals, Sporting KC, or Mizzou game.
