Biography

 In 2023, Dr. Gray was promoted to Associate Professor. Dr. Gray was appointed as Section Chief of Ambulatory Services in 2022. He works as the Associate Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency and serves as the Medical Director for the Bess Truman Family Medicine Clinic.

In 2022, Dr. Gray became a Faculty Mentor for UMKC School of Medicine Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. Since 2018, Dr. Gray has been a KC Roos Athletics Team Physician. Dr. Gray also serves in our community as a Kansas City Marathon Physician, Hospital Hill Run Physician and UMKC Division I Primary Sideline and Training Room coverage. Since 2016, Dr. Gray served as Ringside Boxing and USA Boxing Physician; Ringside World Championship, National Silver Gloves and National Golden Gloves.

Dr. Gray is a local Kansas City native who grew up in Lee’s Summit. Dr. Gray lives in the area with his wife, Dr. Emily Gray, an OB/GYN at UH/UMKC, and daughters Madison and Olivia. In his free time, Dr. Gray enjoys sports, BBQ, and fishing.
