Biography

In November 2024, Dr. Christopher L. Koehn, DO, MBA joined the Department of Community and Family Medicine at University Health Lakewood Medical Center as a primary care physician at the University Health Primary Care Lakewood Pavilion. He is an alumni of UMKC-SOM, a former Resident Chief and also served on the MSACOFP Board of Governors from 2021-2022.

Dr. Koehn loves to provide care and connect with the whole family. He is particularly passionate about educating his patients on diagnoses and procedures. He believes that when his patients know the how and the why concerning diagnoses, they will be able to fully become a part of their treatment and recovery. By not only providing the best care for his patients, educating allows the patient to take charge of their own health. Dr. Koehn enjoys working with his patients in the full spectrum of well visits, office-based procedures, chronic disease management, as well as pre- and post-natal care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Koehn enjoys spending time with his family, especially his six year old daughter. Together with his wife of ten years they like to attend sporting events and find new and exciting adventures for the family in the Kansas City area. When not partaking in family activities, Dr. Koehn enjoys the challenge of home remodeling and anything that keeps him outdoors.
